Planned Roadworks and Diversions

Almond Road from Monday 25th August

Due to works, Almond Road will be closed Eastbound from 0930 hrs Monday 25th August until approximately 1800 hrs Monday 15th September.

Diversions:

Service X27 X28 N28 – Between Almond Interchange and Craigshill Road, buses will divert via A899, Houston Interchange, Cousland Road and Craigshill East Road towards Bathgate Only.


Henderson Street & Parliament Street from Monday 25th August

Due to cycle works, the diversions in the Henderson Street area will change from Start of Service on Mon. 25th Aug until Sat 13th Sept.

Services 16 N16 (Both Directions) – between the Foot of the Walk and Ocean Drive, buses will be diverted via Great Junction Street and North Junction Street.
Services 35 36 N35 (Northbound) – between Great Junction Street and Ocean Drive, buses will be diverted via Great Junction Street and North Junction Street heading northbound only.


Clovenstone Gardens from Monday 25th August

To allow works to take place, Clovenstone Drive will be closed from Start of day service on Monday 25th August for approximately 5 days.

Diversions:

Service 3 – from Clovenstone Road, buses will terminate on Clovenstone Road and will be unable to serve Clovenstone Drive.

Service 30 – from Wester Hailes Road, buses will terminate at Harvesters Way and will be unable to serve Clovenstone Drive.

Service N30 – from Clovenstone Roundabout, buses operate directly via Clovenstone Road and will be unable to serve Clovenstone Drive.


Lower Granton Road (Eastbound) on Sunday 24th August

Due to water works, part of Lower Granton Road will be closed EASTBOUND ONLY on Sunday 24th August between approx. 0800 and 1500 hrs

Services 16 17 (Eastbound) – between Granton Square and Trinity Crescent, buses will divert via Granton Road, Boswall Road, Primrose Bank Road and Trinity Road heading eastbound only.


Pencaitland from Saturday 23rd August

Due to resurfacing works, parts of Pencaitland will be closed between 0800 hrs and 1600 hrs EACH DAY from 0800 hrs on Saturday 23rd August for 2 days.

Diversion:

Services 113 – buses will terminate at Ormiston Cross, they will then operate via the Main Street to Meadowbank to pick up citybound journeys.

East Lothian Council will be providing a minibus shuttle between Pencaitland and Ormiston to connect with our services when works are ongoing.


Manse Road (Whitburn) - Weekends only closure from Saturday 16th August

Due to resurfacing works, part of Manse Road will be closed on Weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) ONLY between Saturday 16th August and Sunday 7th September.

Deans Road from Monday 25th August

Due to drainage works, Deans South will be closed from Monday 25th August for approximately 8 weeks.

Marchmont Road from Monday 4th August

Due to power works, part of Marchmont Road will be closed SOUTHBOUND from Mon. 4th Aug. until further notice.

Service 9 (Southbound) – between Argyle Place and Kilgraston Road, buses will be diverted via Chalmers Crescent and Beaufort Road when heading southbound.
Service 24 (Southbound) – between Melville Drive and Beaufort Road, buses will be diverted via Argyle Place and Chalmers Crescent when heading southbound.


George Street (Eastbound) from Thursday 24th July

Due to festival related closures, parts of George Street will be closed from 2300 hrs on Thursday 24th July for approximately 1 Month.

Services 10 11 (Northbound) - between Princes Street West and York Place, buses will be diverted via Frederick Street and Queen Street heading northbound only.


Murrayfield - Ormidale Terrace Bus Stops

Due to roadworks, the bus stops at Ormidale Terrace will be closed from Sun. 8th June until further notice.

Henderson Street from Friday 21st March

Due to roadworks, Services using Henderson Street will be subject to disruption until further notice.

Services 16 35 N16 (Northbound) – between the Foot of the Walk and The Shore, buses will be diverted via Great Junction Street, Cables Wynd and Parliament Street heading northbound only.

Service 36 (Northbound) – between Bonnington Road and The Shore, buses will be diverted via Cables Wynd and Parliament Street heading northbound only.

As the works are also restricting the use of larger buses southbound Services 16 & N16 will also divert Citybound

Services 16 N16 (Citybound) - between Lindsay Road and Kirkgate Centre, buses will divert via North Junction Street and Great Junction Street.

Services 35 & 36 will continue to operate normal route via Henderson Street Citybound.
